If you ever wondered what 2025 was like with YouTube , soon you’ll be able to see it, thanks to “Recap.” It is YouTube’s version of the popular Spotify Wrapped, which is due to drop this month. The platform today announced that it has started rolling out “Recap” for users in North America, and plans to roll it out to more regions later this week.
YouTube Recap includes your interests, watching/listening habits & more
As YouTube notes, you can find your “Recap” on the platform’s homepage . Alternatively, you can access it from the “You” tab on your mobile devices and desktop. Now, you must be wondering what YouTube Recap includes. Well, it uniquely highlights your interests, deep dives, and moments you’ve explored throughout the year. And the company provides all of that based on your watch history.
The Google-owned video platform says you’ll get a set of 12 different cards that highlight your top channel and interests. Recap will also show you the evolution of your viewing habits. Notably, it can also tell your personality type based on the videos you have watched throughout this year.
If you’ve listened to tons of music, you’ll see Top Artists and Songs of the year as part of 2025 YouTube Recap. You can also deep dive into genres, podcasts, and even a snapshot of your international music listing over on the YouTube Music app .
It’s not available everywhere yet
YouTube has been experimenting with a lot of features lately. For Recap as well, the company tested fifty different concepts and conducted nine rounds of feedback. The company apparently didn’t just see the data, but also saw “personalities, from the Adventurer or Skill Builder to the Creative Spirit, and so many more.” Not to forget, you can also save and share YouTube Recap with your family and friends.
